Two, 3-year terms, from July 1, 2025, to August 31, 2028

This committee provides advice to the Executive Committee on pension matters and promotes awareness of pensions and retirement income planning among members. Committee members attend both the Pensions Committee meetings and the Teachers’ Pension Plan Advisory Committee meetings. They must be prepared to become knowledgeable about the Teachers’ Pension Plan, the Joint Trust Agreement, changes in the pension plan, and related matters, including but not limited to the funding and administration of the Teachers’ Pension Plan. The five trustees of the Teachers’ Pension Board are appointed by the BCTF from the members of the Teachers’ Pension Plan Advisory Committee.

The committee members are expected to attend three two-day meetings and two training days. Attendance at the BCTF Annual General Meeting is encouraged.
