The British Columbia Teachers' Federation (BCTF), located on the unceded ancestral territories of the xʷməθkʷəy̓əm, sḵwx̱wú7mesh, and səlil̓w̓ətaɬ nations since 1917, is a union of professionals representing over 50,000 public school teachers throughout the province of BC.

The BCTF office building is situated in close proximity to the Canada Line and other major transit routes in a central Vancouver location. This is an in-person position based out of 550 West 6th Avenue, in Vancouver.
Function and Purpose
Under the direction of the Director of the Information, Research, and International Solidarity Division and in co-operation with the other research staff, provides technical assistance on a variety of research projects; supports analysis of research findings; maintains related databases; edits, produces, and distributes research reports; and responds to inquiries about BCTF research projects.
Supports the International Solidarity Committee and projects related to the International Solidarity Program including providing information to staff, the Executive Committee, and the membership on BCTF international work, and providing information to and working with non-governmental agencies, consortiums, and other teacher federations in Canada on co-operative projects.
Required experience
Four years of related experience working with quantitative research data required. Knowledge of the BC public school system and BC educational issues. Experience with computerized applications to support research and statistical analysis. Demonstrated knowledge of, and an ability to use, database and statistical programs survey software, graphics and spreadsheet packages, and word processing programs required. Communication skills, especially writing and editing skills required. Ability to synthesize and analyse complex data sets and pay attention to detail required. Organizational and secretarial skills required. Knowledge of website content management systems an asset.
Required education/training
A university degree required, preferably in the social sciences with specific training in quantitative research methodologies.
