Role
The AGM ombudspersons will work together to provide an important service at the BCTF Annual General Meeting. They will serve as a resource to help in the resolution of any member-to-member complaints during the meeting and assist any members who may feel they have been harassed at the meeting.
The AGM ombudspersons’ service is provided in a discrete manner, respecting the confidentiality of all participants.
Those selected for this role receive orientation and training in advance of the AGM, however the criteria for the position require that the individuals appointed have current or past experience in the BCTF Internal Mediation Service or other relevant experience in conflict resolution. In addition, the AGM ombudspersons will attend the AGM in this role only and may not be delegates to the meeting or hold any other formal meeting role.
