You can view your extended health and dental coverage on the Pacific Blue Cross website

Part-time 

• Your eligibility for health and dental benefits is determined by your collective agreement. View local collective agreements.

Teachers Teaching on Call

• You are eligible to participate in extended health. TTOC are eligible for dental coverage but they must pay both the employer and employee contribution rates.

During Medical Leaves

• Check with your collective agreement and local to determine your eligibility for health benefits during a medical leave of absence, especially after sick leave has expired.
• If you are not eligible to maintain your group health benefits during an extended medical leave of absence you may purchase individual coverage from various carriers.

During Other Leaves

• Check with your local or school board office to ensure that premium payments and benefit coverage will be maintained

Individual Extended Health Benefits that may include optical, dental, accidental death and dismemberment is available through Pacific Blue Cross.
