Digital Service Standard

The BCTF Digital Service Standard sets out 10 points to help the Federation build and deliver simpler, faster, better digital services and tools.

  1. Start with audience, user needs and purpose
  2. Understand the problem before creating solutions
  3. Do the hard work to make it easy to use
  4. Less is more, keep things simple
  5. Remove barriers to make services as accessible and inclusive as possible
  6. Collaborate widely, work transparently
  7. Let research, evidence and best practices drive design decisions
  8. Work iteratively, improve frequently
  9. Build sustainably and consider systems from the start
  10. Use modular solutions
