Assistant Director, Internal Relations Co-ordinator
Reporting to the Executive Director and the Director of the Professional and Social Issues Division, the Assistant Director has overall responsibility for the administration of the Federation's Code of Ethics and Judicial Council procedures, Internal Mediation Services, and Peer Support Program. Housed in the BCTF Legal Services Division, the position of Staff Lawyer is part of a team that provides legal advice and advocacy. In this capacity, the Staff Lawyer provides legal advice on the terms and conditions of employment for teachers. This is a continuing position and the deadline to apply is 5:00 p.m., March 26, 2018.
Assistant Director, WCB Advocacy
The Assistant Director, WCB Advocacy in the Federation's Income Security Division co-ordinates and has conduct over member appeals of WCB decisions. This is a continuing position and the deadline to apply is 5:00 p.m., March 26, 2018.
Assistant Director, Field Service Division
Reporting to the Executive Director and the Director of the Field Service Division, the Assistant Director provides support to assigned locals in contract enforcement, bargaining, political action, communications, and the handling of a range of professional, health and safety, social justice, and Aboriginal education issues. This is a term position (4 years, 4 months) and the deadline to apply is 5:00 p.m., March 26, 2018.

BCTF Peer Support Service Consultants
The BC Teachers' Federation will appoint up to 12 Peer Support Service (PSS) teacher-consultants for three-year terms. These are voluntary positions, but expenses are covered by the Federation. Responsibilities include providing direct one-to-one coaching support to members with letters-of-direction or on plans-of-assistance and to members who request help with their teaching practice. Teacher Inquiry Summit on Ministry Designations and Individual Education Plans (IEPs)
The BC Teachers' Federation is seeking 16 teachers to participate in a Teacher Inquiry Summit on the Ministry of Education Special Education Services designations and Individual Education Plans (IEPs) on May 4, 2018. The summit participants are also invited to attend the joint BCTF/UBC Investigating Our Practices Conference on May 5, 2018. Learn more about the summit and selection criteria online.
