BC School Counsellors' Association (BCSCA) conference

BC School Counsellor's Association annual conference will align with the provincial pro-d day on October 24 and 25, 2019. Join us for a two-day experience exploring trauma through a variety of lenses. Our keynote speaker, Dr. Linda O'Neill, is a trauma specialist who works with schools to implement trauma-informed practices. On Thursday, we have Corey Reid and Dr. Linda Uyeda speaking together about ACE's, connecting the study to implications for working with children. The conference theme is "Realizing Resilience: Informed by trauma, Influenced by care" and workshops include topics such as "Addressing ACEs in your practice", "Preventing Vicarious Trauma and Provider Burnout", "Keys to Unleashing Resilience", and "Trauma Informed Practice in Schools".
