The Special Education Association is a provincial specialist association of the Brithish Columbia Teachers' Federation. SEA invites the participation of all teachers who are interested in supporting students with special needs.

Provincial SEA Chapters

Local chapters of the Provincial SEA have been established in districts across British Columbia. These chapters organize regular meetings to discuss special education issues and provide networking support for their members. The teachers involved share information, ideas, resources, and professional development opportunities. They receive information about what is happening in special education throughout the province from the SEA provincial executive, and in turn provide feedback to the executive to help direct the business of the association. Each chapter elects its own executive and sets a constitution according to guidelines set by SEA in conjunction with the BCTF.

For more information about joining the SEA chapter in your district, or starting a new local chapter, please contact the SEA Membership/Chapters Co-ordinator, Mark Boden (email: mpboden@telus.net)
