Cancellations and Refunds
If you must cancel for any reason, the registrar must receive notice of cancellation by October 17, 2009. Cancellations after October 17, 2009 and No-Shows are non-refundable.
The BCAMT cannot make exceptions to the Cancellation and Refund Policy for any reason, including personal emergencies.
The Reservation and Cancellation Policy applies to all registrations regardless of whether payment has been approved. If you qualify for a refund, the registrar will send you a confirmation of the cancellation by email and refund the amount of the reservation less a 45 CAD cancellation fee to the previously provided credit card.
You may notify our registration department in writing by email.

Mathematics & Culture (10:30am - 12:10pm)
Location: Squamish Lil'wat Cultural Centre, Whistler, BC
The Vancouver 2010 Olympic and Paralympic Winter Games will take place in the shared tradional territories of the Squamish and Lil'wat Nations. In this session participants will be taken on a tour of the Squamish Lil'wat Cultural Centre (walking distance from Chateau Whistler, the conference centre). The participants will be greeted by members from the Aboriginal Ambassador Program and led through activities relating to mathematics and artifacts from Squamish and Lil'wat Nations. Activities and resources will be provided to the participants.
This session will be limited to the first 40 registrants
Cost: $25 (covers admission, tour, and resources)

Mathematics & Sports (2:30pm - 4:10pm)
Location: Whistler Sliding Centre, Whistler, BC
Note: This event has now sold out, but you can add your name to a waiting list when you register. Alternatively, participants who are interested in touring the sliding centre, but would prefer not to miss conference sessions, or were unable to secure a seat to the Math and Sport Event, will be given the option of joining a separate tour at 5pm with Whistler Connections for a conference rate of $35 + tax. This is not a part of our conference but is being offered by Whistler Connections for any delegates interested in visiting the Sliding Centre and observe the Canadian Olympic Team's Bobsleigh team in training for the Olympic Games in February. Sign up will be at the Fairmont Hotel during the conference.

- is one of only 15 international competition sliding tracks in the world
- has the highest vertical drop of any track in the world: 152 metres
- has a track G-force expected to reach 5.02 Gs (men's luge)
- has a thin, 2 - 5 cm ice surface that is produced and maintained by hand

Friday Night Entertainment (9pm - midnight)
Location: Fairmont Chateau Whistler
Featuring the Motown Cruisers!
The Motown Cruisers were formed in 1998 and have been performing throughout the Northwest. The band is know for their lively presentation and play a blend of classic and contemporary Motown dance music of songs from the 60's, 70's, and early 80's that reflect the Motown tradition, from artists such as Marvin Gaye, Otis Redding, Wilson Pickett, The Four Tops, and the Temptations.
Cost: $10 (covers admission; no host bar available)
