This online, fully-refereed, research journal offers an interdisciplinary forum for researchers and professionals who are exploring new and alternative perspectives in early childhood education.
Early Childhood Research & Practice (ECRP)
This free, peer-reviewed, electronic journal sponsored by the Early Childhood and Parenting (ECAP) Collaborative at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign, covers topics related to the development, care, and education of children from birth to approximately age 8.
Young Children 
An award-winning, peer-reviewed professional journal published bimonthly by the National Asssociation for the Education of Young Children. Young Children issues are organized around topical clusters that devote special attention to issues in the field of early childhood education.

American Journal of Education
AJE from the University of Chicago publishes articles that present educational research, theory and philosophy with a goal to integrate scholoarship, policy and practice. 
American School Board Journal
An award-winning education magazine published monthly by the National School Boards Association. Chronicles change, interprets issues, and offers readers practical advice on a broad range of topics pertinent to school governance and management, policy making, student achievement, and the art of school leadership. In addition, regular departments cover education news, school law, research, and new books.
American Educator
The official publication of the American Federation of Teachers features selected full text articles from the current and past issues.
ASCD Publications
A wealth of publications, both print and online, are available from ASCD's publications page. ASCD SmartBrief (delivered daily through e-mail) is a free news service that provides summaries and links to major education stories on curriculum, professional development, leadership, emerging technologies, policy, and news from the field.
Canadian Journal of Education
This leading, bilingual Canadian educational journal offers full text access to current and past issues. It publishes scholarly articles, review essays, discussions, book reviews, and research notes broadly but not exclusively related to Canadian education and written to be of interest to a wide, well-read general readership.
Canadian Journal of Educational Administration and Policy (CJEAP)
CJEAP is a scholarly, peer-reviewed electronic journal with a Canadian focus from the University of Manitoba, Faculty of Education. It raises important questions and promotes debate on problems of educational practice and policy.
Current Issues in Comparative Education (CICE)
Based at Teachers College, Columbia University, this international online journal provides an interactive medium for debate and discussion of educational policies and comparative studies, and "extraordinary transformations in world politics, economic markets and the social milieu as they affect education." Students, practictioners and academic scholars contribute to the debate formally through articles and informally through the CICE Running Debate.
Education Canada
This is the flagship publication from Canadian Education Association. Published four times a year, it offers an informed dialogue on education with a Canadian perspective on current issues, trends, leadership, policy, practice and research.
Education International
The web site of Education International, the world’s largest federation of unions, representing thirty million education employees in about four hundred organisations in one hundred and seventy countries and territories across the globe. Click on Resources and Research to search for full text articles.
Education Policy Analysis Archives
Editor Gene V. Glass founded this widely read, peer-reviewed, online journal in 1993. The site offers full text original policy research submitted from all over the world on a wide variety of educational topics.
Education Week
Full text articles from current and past issues of the Education Week and Teacher Magazine are available at this site for subscribers.
Educational Leadership
The official publication of the Association for Supervision and Curriculum Development, Education Leadership offers tables of contents, announcements for future issues, abstracts and selected full text articles from current and past issues.
Elementary School Journal
The Elementary School Journal (ESJ) serves researchers, teacher educators, and practitioners in elementary and middle school education. ESJ publishes peer-reviewed articles that pertain to both education theory and research and their implications for teaching practice. In addition, ESJ presents articles that relate the latest research in child development, cognitive psychology, and sociology to school learning and teaching.
ERIC/AE Full Text Library
The ERIC Clearinghouse on Assessment and Evaluation features an amazing new library of "full-text books, reports, journal articles, newsletter articles and papers on the Internet that address educational measurement, evaluation and learning theory." The resources are well organized by subject: Educational Quality; Learning Theory; Evaluation; Student Evaluation; Tests and Testing; Professional Standards; Research; Statistical Analysis. The site features useful filtering options for selected retrieval.
The Green Teacher
This quarterly magazine by and for educators focuses on environmental and global education across the curriculum at all grade levels. The site provides annotated table of contents and selected full text articles for current and back issues beginning with Vol.32, Feb-May 1993.
Harvard Education Letter Research Online
Harvard Education Letter's Research Online is a bimonthly newsletter that reports, interprets, and critiques new research and innovative practice in pre K-12 education. Articles are offered as full text or through abstracts.
Harvard Educational Review
HER is a quarterly, scholarly journal that "provides an interdisciplinary forum for discussion and debate about the field's most vital issues." The site offers abstracts from current and back issues from Spring 1985, full text book reviews, announcements of forthcoming articles and special issues. An electronic archive of full text articles beginning with the Spring 1980 issue is available only through a password to subscribers of the journal.
NEAToday
This site is current, well organized with many features, and searchable. It offers full text articles from current and past issues, starting from 2010.
NSCD Publications
Publications from the National Staff Development Council include: the Journal of Staff Development,  Tools for SchoolsThe Learning System and others. Most provide full text availability.
Phi Delta Kappan
The Phi Delta Kappan is available from PDK International's site. A major educational journal addressing policy issues for educators at all levels, it offers the table of contents of current and past issues, selected full text articles beginning with the September 1999 issue, and a searchable publication archives. Special features include: the monthlyWeb Watch reflecting that issue's theme; the Phi Delta Kappa/Gallup Poll [of the Public's Attitudes Towards the Public Schools  published each September.
Practical Assessment, Research & Evaluation (PARE)
PARE is an online journal providing access to refereed articles that can have a positive impact on assessment, research, evaluation, and teaching practice.

Rethinking Schools
This online edition features selected full text articles from current and past issues, starting from 1995. It is committed to "equity and to the vision that public education is central to the creation of a human, caring, multiracial democracy."
TEACH Magazine
This widely subscribed Canadian journal covers issues and topics of practical interest to K-12 educators. The site features complete back issues.
Teachers College Record
Teachers College Record, in publication since 1900, is a journal of research, analysis, and commentary on education, educational policy and history. Full text access to current and archived articles are available to users who sign up for free membership. The site, searchable by many indexes, offers Book Reviews, Featured Articles, Collection of articles and more.
TES: The Times Educational Supplement
The site offers selections from The TES and its magazines: TES Primary, TES Online and Friday Magazine. Other features: TES Jobs database; Breaking News and the open forum TES Staffroom. This site links to TES Scotland.

Educational Research and Action Research

The Alberta Journal of Educational Research (AJER)
AJER is a quarterly journal devoted to the "dissemination, criticism, interpretation, and encouragement of all forms of systematic enquiry into education and fields related to or associated with education." This site offers table of contents from the last twelve years and abstracts from the last ten years.
AERA journals
AERA's journal site offers selected fulltext highlights from their publications and full text availability to Educational Researcher. Their other journals offer only selected abstracts or table of contents: American Educational Research Journal (AERJ), Educational Evaluation and Policy Analysis (EEPA), Journal of Educational and Behavioral Statistics (JEBS), Review of Educational Research (RER).
Educational Action Research
This fully-refereed international journal from Taylor & Francis aims "to establish and maintain a review of the literature of action research." and to provide a "forum for dialogue on the methodological and epistemological issues....." It is free to register for table of content alerting.
Networks : An On-line Journal For Teacher Research
This electronic journal, launched in Sept. 1998, "offers a place for sharing reports of action research, in which teachers at all levels, kindergarten to postgraduate, are reflecting on classroom practice through research ventures." Features: articles, short reports of work-in-progress, book reviews, and research news. The latter offers numerous links to other action research sites.

Educational Technology

Canadian Journal of Learning and Technology
This site offers the online full text edition of CJLT.  It covers theoretical and practical aspects of educational technology and learning.
Educational Technology & Society
This quarterly electronic journal of the International Forum of Educational Technology & Society offers full text articles in PDF. It disseminates the conclusions of discussions on issues "affecting the educational system developer (including AI) and education communities."
eSchool News Online
This daily online newsletter delivers educational technology news of interest to educators and policy makers. Besides delivering daily news, this full featured site offers many resources, publications and services, like the Site of the Week and free alerting newsletters.
From Now On: The Education Technology Journal
This electronic journal, committed to "professional development as well as the use of networks to support student exploration and reasoning," is published by Jamie McKenzie, a former teacher and educational technology consultant. The Subject Index provides a useful grouping by topics, eg. Research and Information Problem-Solving, Staff Development, Technology Planning. The site features many useful links.
The Journal of Technology Education
This electronic journal, published biannually by the Virginia Polytechnic Institute and State University provides a "forum for scholarly discussion on topics relating to technology education....[it's]research, philosophy, and theory." It also publishes book reviews, editorials, guest articles, comprehensive literature reviews, and reactions to previously published articles. Full text articles are in both HTML and PDF beginning with Vol.1 No.1, 1989.
Journal of Technology and Teacher Education (JTATE)
The official quarterly journal of the Society for Information Technology & Teacher Education (SITE), serves as the forum for the "exchange of knowledge about the use of information technology in teacher education, " to include preservice, graduate and professional development. The online JTATE provides selected abstracts. SITE is a division of the Association for the Advancement of Computing in Education (ACCE) whose members are "specialists in education, industry, and the government with an interest in advancing knowledge and learning with information technology in education."
Technology, Pedagogy and Education
This international, refereed online journal from Taylor & Francis focuses on "research evidence and critical analysis on all aspects of ICT and its relation to teacher education and professional development in all phases of education." It covers theoretical works, research reports, literature reviews, software and book reviews, conference reports.
T.H.E. Journal
T.H.E. (Transforming Education Through Technology) Journal offers selected full text articles from their Magazine, a paid subscription resource. This site also links to their EduHound, a prescreened directory of over 20,000 links in over 50 categories.

Abilities Magazine
Canada's foremost cross-disability lifestyle magazine, Abilities offers an annotated table of contents for the current issue, a searchable archives, and a forum for discussion and dialogue.
BC Studies: the British Columbian Quarterly
This site features table of contents to include books reviewed, full text editorials from current and archived issues, and a subject index.
Canadian Centre for Policy Alternatives Education Project
This index page provides links to the CCPA quarterly journals, Our Schools/Our Selves and Popular Primers. reporting on educational issues and the growing attack on public education.
The CCPA Monitor
The monthly journal from Canadian Centre for Policy Alternatives provides news and views on business, labour and social / economic issues often unavailable in the commercial media. The site is current and offers many full text articles from current and back issues.
Encounter: Education for Meaning and Social Justice
