The Federation does not necessarily endorse all the conferences, nor does it accept liability for errors or omissions in any of the information provided. Individuals planning to attend a conference should contact the sponsoring organization to confirm the dates and other details of registration. Conferences sponsored by the Federation's provincial specialist associations appear in boldface type throughout the calendar.

» Celebrate Diversity! With Shelley Moore

The theme for this day is Celebrate DiversityAnd our keynote is Shelley Moore! In her keynote address, "Inclusive Education: Who, What, Where, When, Why?!", Shelley will deconstruct what inclusive education means in todays classrooms and communities. She will also discuss common misunderstandings and myths and leave with ideas and possibilities of inclusive learning communities and all who benefit. Following her keynote address, Shelley will also host separate breakout sessions, one with an elementary focus and one with a secondary focus. In addition to Shelley's breakouts, we will be offering other options and as always, collaboration sessions. More details and online registration to follow in January.

SFU Curriculum Design and Learning, Powell River GDE Information Session

A Graduate Diploma in Advanced Professional Studies has been developed by SFU's Field Programs in partnership with School Districts #47 Powell River, #71 Comox Valley and #46 Sunshine Coast for elementary, middle and secondary teachers interested in developing their teaching practice while engaging in sustained reflective inquiry. Note: You do not need to be from this district to apply, however priority will be given to students from this district.
